This morning we will head to the Lazy 5 Ranch. The ranch features 400 animals from around the world. These animals can be viewed from a horse drawn hay-wagon while traveling along a 3-1/2 mile safari ride through gently sloping pasturelands. Be sure to bring your camera. This is a unique drive-through experience in North Carolina. There is no other collection of animals like this in the Southeast. Henry Hampton has more than 25 years experience working with animals from around the world. He and his family have a lot of respect for God’s creatures that is reflected in the Hamptons’ handling and training of exotic animals. Henry is recognized nationally for his work with exotic animals. There is also a trading post and petting zoo. Next, we will enjoy a lunch cruise on beautiful Lake Norman aboard the Catawba Queen, a replica of a Mississippi riverboat. The Catawba Queen will transport you back in time to those nostalgic days when paddlewheelers cruised America’s rivers. Returning home after an enjoyable day. Arriving back approximately 6:00 PM. (L)
